How much should we really trust those close to us? In my own life, in novels, in TV dramas, it’s those closest to us than can do the most harm. It’s because we trust them so completely that they are able to hurt us.
So should we keep distance between ourselves and others? Where is the middle ground? Would it be good to take a step back? If you trust them, take a step back and leave room for disappointment. If you don’t trust them, take a step forward and give them a chance. So when impermanence rears its head, you won’t be so shocked.

แต่จะให้เราเป็นคนที่หวาดผวา ไม่ไว้ใจใครเลยก็คงจะเป็นไปไม่ได้ แล้วอะไรที่จะเป็นจุดยืนของเรา ถอยหนึ่งก้าวดีไหม คือ ถ้าไว้ใจมาก ก็เผื่อความผิดหวังไว้สักนิด แต่ถ้าไม่ไว้ใจคนนั้นเลย ก็ให้โอกาสสักนิด เพราะเมื่อเรื่องเกิด จะได้ไม่ตกใจมากเกินไป
