Today, Mae Yo was asked some questions about ghosts.
Q. Are ghosts real?
A. Yes. You can call the soul that remains after the death of a body a ghost, spirit, or angel. These are just names.
Q. Does a ghost have a body?
A. No, ghosts do not have bodies.
Q. How can you recognize them?
A. In order for us to know who that spirit is, the ghost must appear to you in a form that you would recognize. For instance, if you most recently knew the spirit as your grandmother, it would appear to you in your grandmothers form.
Not every spirit can appear to you in a form like a body. That spirit must have enough intensity. Intensity in this sense is like lots of anger, a very important message to tell (like who killed the spirit), a heavy feeling of concern (like for your child left behind), or else the spirit is an old spirit. Mostly spirits don’t concern themselves with humans. They no longer possess a physical form, and the human form is stinky for them.
Q. Can a grandmother really be reincarnated as a her own grandchild?
A. Yes. She can be reincarnated as her own grandchild, or anything else that is connected to that family that she is concerned about. It depends on the opportunity to be reborn. If the soul is ready to be reborn, it must survey where it can be reborn.
Just like if you were to travel from Thailand to the USA, you would first need to gather up money, reserve a plane ticket, get your visa, figure out who you know in the USA that you can stay with. If there are many people, you may pick the person who you are closest to. If that person isn’t available, you would pick the next most familiar person and so on, until you find a person suitable for you to stay with. If no such person exists, but you have a ticket and visa, you have to go so you don’t lose your chance. In this case, you would have to stay with a friend of a friend, stay in a hotel, or go with a tour company. The same concept applies for picking a suitable father, mother, or household to be reborn into.
Q. When a person is pregnant, when is the soul of the baby to be born connected to the physical form of the baby?
A. It depends. Sometimes, the reservation is made and the soul waits right there the whole time. Sometimes, the fetus has been formed and the soul comes to wait. Other times, the soul waits until the baby is about to be born to join its soul to the body. It can happen as late as the moment of birth.
That is why when it comes to the guilt associated with abortions, maybe we shouldn’t harbor such heavy guilt after the fact. What is certain is that you have cut off somebody’s chance to be born at that particular place and time. You cancelled their plans. You didn’t kill them, no one can kill anyone’s soul. They will be reborn again. What happens is that in cutting off their current plans, the soul can be angry because of the time and energy they spent securing their spot in line. You’ve effectively created a debt you will have to repay. If you understand that you didn’t kill someone, but you did cancel their plans, you might not feel as guilty.
